UC加州大學申請系統-

加州大學的本科申請系統是共用的。一方面可以為申請者節約填寫申請表格的時間;另一方面，加州大學會按照統一的標準來錄取學生。加州大學的申請系統和Common App與CAAS的申請有很多不同之處，我們會在后面的干貨中具體介紹。

-Common Application申請系統-

Common Application(通常被稱作Common App)，是美國以及其他一些國家的大學本科入學的一站式申請網站，目前已經廣泛適用于包括哈佛大學、耶魯大學等眾多名校在內的527所大學。

它的使命是鼓勵申請者使用這種一站式的申請，簡化原本復雜繁瑣的程序，包括申請文書、推薦信的提交，以及SAT分數和班級排名的報告等主客觀因素。

Common Application系統充分發揮了網絡的優勢，只需要填寫一次申請表，存入的基本信息就可以提交到系統內所有高校。

該系統的申請需要寫兩篇作文：一篇長作文和一篇短作文。這兩篇作文可以用在申請系統內的所有高校。

當然，系統里基本每所高校都需要填寫補充材料(Supplement)，以便更全面地掌握申請者的個人信息。

每個學校需要的補充材料不同，有的涉及家庭背景，有的關于學習背景和課外活動，有的則需要多寫幾篇作文。

總體來說，CommonApplication最大的好處就是減少了填寫申請表中重復信息填寫的工作量，在基本信息和系統作文部分實現一表多用。

1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is someaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. Ifthis sounds like you, then please share your story.

2015年9月底，80多所美國一流大學聯合推出了CAAS新網申請系統(Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success)。

就像這個系統的名字一樣，這個新系統希望能夠幫助低收入的少數民族學生，新移民學生，家里過去沒人上過大學的人，更容易接近和接觸美國大學。

目前已經宣布加入該系統的大學包括所有常青藤盟校，以及久負盛名的其它大學和文理學院。

美國頂尖名校在政府與社會輿論媒體的壓力下做出這個決定，本意在實現更公平公正的錄取機制，讓不同社會階層和族裔的學生享受同等的名校升學資源與機會。

與CommonApp不同的是，CAAS新網申系統鼓勵9年級學生盡早了解接觸大學生申請相關事宜，立志用于于幫助學生更早的規劃高中生活。

CAAS新系統更加重視的是學生的成長過程和經歷，希望看到學生一個持續進步，不斷積累的狀態。
