A time I shared something with others happened last Christmas which was right before the Covid 19 outbreak.

一次我和與他人分享東西的經歷發生在上個圣誕節，正好就是在疫情爆發之前。

A foreign friend of mine named Jake invited me to attend a potluck at his apartment in Wuhan.You know,it was hard to find a turkey in China as the main course.So,I brought a homemade Chinese salt water duck instead to share with others.

我的一個叫Jake的外國朋友邀請我在他武漢的公寓參加聚餐。在中國很難找到火雞用來做主菜。所以，我給他們帶了一個自己在家做好的咸水鴨。

Honestly,I was not familiar with most of the guests at his home.Jake told me they were his colleagues who were also ex-pats like him and treated me in a very good manner at the gathering.At the very beginning,I thought this duck would not suit their appetite.But,they ended up enjoying this food pretty much.

老實說，我當時對他家里的客人并不熟悉。Jake告訴我他們都是和他一樣的在這里工作的外國同事。他們在聚會的時候對我特別有禮貌。一起開始，我覺得這鴨子可能不太適合他們的口味。不過，他們吃了之后還是感到非常享受的。

I feel that one of the reasons why I shared it with them was that this was probably the most ideal alternative to turkey I could think of.Plus,I wanted to introduce this delicious traditional Chinese food to those foreign guests.

我認為我要和他們分享這個的原因是咸水鴨是我當時能夠想到的可以替換火雞的最好選擇。除此之外，我也挺想把這款中國傳統食物介紹給那些外國客人們。

Well,I definitely feel a sense of achievement.You know,it took me a whole afternoon to cook it,and their satisfying smiles really made my day.

我當時感到特別有成就感。做咸水鴨花了我一個下午的時間。能夠看到他們滿意的笑容挺開心的。
