Ive had many experiences of being not really interested in a conversation and Im gonna tell you about one of them. It happened a few days ago.

I have two very good friends and we used to meet up on the weekends for a coffee or a meal all the time. But one of them got married 4 years ago and the other one did the same last year. They moved into a new place after that and now we live far apart, so we cant meet as often as before. During the national holiday, we finally had the chance to hang out.

We went to a restaurant in the Chengyang District in Qingdao, which is a long way away from my place. I thought the distance was nothing, because I was really looking forward to seeing my friends again and I was filled with excitement. However, when we finally sat down and started talking, all they could talk about was their kids, their husbands and in-laws. The two of them seemed to be having a great time chatting while I just sat there nodding along to what they were saying without really paying attention.
