I know it is a clich to discuss this, and just like a lot of kids, I read all 7 books of the series when I was in high school and watched the movies a million times. Did I learn how to wave a wand? Being born an orphan and constantly hunted by the most powerful enemy of the world, he taught me how to overcome fears, how to forgive others when life was unfair, how to be kind and find joy in small things when you became powerful. Neville Longbottom, especially during the last grand fight with Voldemort, showed me how to step up even when he was not ready, and how to find a way to contribute when his peers appeared to be more talented. And finally, like many other readers, the most important concept I learnt from Lily and Snape was the meaning of unconditional love.
